Her favorite spot to write is a flat rock under a wide tree on the edge of the open desert. When she isn't writing, Lyn Gala teaches history in a small town in New Mexico. Her characters seek to better themselves and find the happy (or happier) ending. Even the purest heroes have pain and loss and darkness in their hearts, and that's where she likes to find her stories.

Westerns starring men with shady pasts gave way to science fiction with questionable protagonists, which eventually became any story with a morally ambiguous character. Ondry is very 'other', which is good considering that you have an alien society that is supposed to be very different from one's own.Lyn Gala started writing in the back of her science notebook in third grade and hasn't stopped since. I adore Liam, who is torn between his feelings, but there's also massive confusion from him a lot of the time because, hello, completely different culture. Never gets really graphic, but Liam doesn't shy away from his feelings. Lots of emphasis on the differences between the two races (with humans coming out to look very much the poorer of the two). It was also rather well written and the sex only really came into play during the last portion of the book. Review 2: I enjoyed this, for all that it's another alien and human culture differences and so on book, this was fun to read.

But if you want a super sweet well thought out new place to explore I strongly recommend Claimings, Tails, and Other Alien Artifacts(less) more t the "incompatible genitalia".Overall this book wont be for everyone if traditional woohoo is what you are looking for this is probably not for you. It's all about submission as opposed to sadism or masochism. This book has no pain play or really anything other than light bondage. He's a normal guy hes not a pansy he's not weak he just loves to put other peoples pleasure above his own. So often I read BDSM books and are really disappointed mainly at the subs who tend to be weak sniveling people. I really love books that can build a new world or social structure, I also love (the idea anyway) of submission stories.

The aliens and their culture in this story was great (especially for something so short!) This story just has so much going on that hit in all the right places. Review 1: 2nd time around just as good!A strong 4.5!Holy world building Batman! What an unexpectedly great book.
